![]() ![]() So what's next Microsoft? A little clanger in the works for IE or MS Office when running on XP? MSE never actually found a virus on our network, So we are happy to just uninstall it. We have been using workstation self-restores for years together with mandatory user profiles and a good company firewall. We decided to stick with XP for another year mainly because we have a lot of legacy in-house apps and we are slowly migrating to the Cloud with Google Apps. I hope someone can pinpoint the code in question and put Microsoft in the dock. It is one thing to disable windows updates but another to actively sabotage. This references MSE and the surefire solution I have found/seen so far is to uninstall MSE. At login screen people are getting an error on the Instruction set at 0x5A4D684D. If you have XP and Microsoft Security Essentials together currently expect to start getting an error which may keep you from logging on. Today there has been a widespread issue that is starting to be seen by many companies. (While we all wish we weren't, many of us are stuck with it for a time.) Just a warning to anyone out there still running XP in your environment. ![]()
